Chapter 1: The Psychology of Weight

This chapter introduces the mental picture required by everyone choosing this lifestyle change. It is a “Change” mentality that is needed to be successful on this journey. WayneDyer said “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
I discuss how diet is not the answer for people who have a recurring challenge with their weight and who have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of over 4o as well as the reasons why this is so. And unlike the normal perception in the world to day, I also discuss the reason why food might not be one of the reasons for obesity and overweight.

I highlight the fails of science and humanity where sugar as well as lack of personal discipline and lots more have created a stigma around people suffering from obesity and overweight. Finally, I highlight the fact that simple lifestyle changes can help in some and at time little ways, but the problem needs a silver bullet – hence Bariatric Surgery.
